The drip irrigation system is typically greater than 90% efficient at allowing plants use all the water applied, where sprinklers are only 70% efficient. Drip irrigation is the exact and gradual application of low pressure water directly to the plant’s roots using emitters. A drip irrigation system can be readily hidden with a layer of mulch, so that the system does not detract from the sight of your landscape design.
